As the Co-founder of Libation Liberation, I am very proud to announce the introduction of our new software platform, Virtual Cellar.

The Virtual Cellar Platform gives retail and restaurant guest's the ability, via an iPad, to determine their sensory preferences prior to making a purchase, in this case, specifically when making decisions about their wine, liquor, or beer choice. It replaces cumbersome, expensive and perpetually outdated paper menus and provides customers with an easy-to-read, digital format.

I imagined this software after 16yrs in the hospitality industry and noting servers repeating identical, familiar products to every guest. The problem wasn’t always the server but was exacerbated by the limitations of paper menus. A solution was needed, which is Virtual Cellar.

Virtual Cellar places product knowledge into the guest’s hands empowering them to make their own educated menu decisions. Our proprietary Flavor Match System sorts a beverage menu by keywords, specific regions, valuable third-party reviews and other pertinent data. Virtual Cellar paired with a sommelier or knowledgeable staff member becomes an even more powerful tool ultimately guiding patrons to the hidden gems of the beverage menu. Virtual Cellar satisfies a customer’s personal flavor preferences while avoiding potentially awkward server interactions and embarrassing situations.

The product also benefits customers by saving their profile, products, and giving them social media options. You become part of a larger network of people that share similar tastes and lifestyles. Gone are the days of snapping a picture of that bottle of wine or emailing/writing a note to yourself.
